We are passionate about STEM and m-learning. Each month we review dozens of applications within the broad m-learning space to find applications that bring unique value to our m-learning clients. We deliver solutions (not just apps) and if there are other apps that can help our clients, we are the first ones to tell our clients about them. This month, we are pleased to spotlight one of our own m-learning applications as we believe that it currently has a unique position at the crossroads of learning, green and gamification.
“Make Change, Not Waste” is a green living initiative that rewards Whole Foods Market® shoppers with coupons for green lifestyle actions, while raising awareness and donations to alleviate global poverty through the Whole Planet Foundation® microcredit. The app provides Whole Foods Market customers with badges and coupons from a catalog of green lifestyle behaviors like using a reusable bag, recycling and biking to work. After completing 10 green actions, the customer can unlock coupons (for use within Whole Foods Market stores), donate a percentage to the Whole Planet Foundation or simply compete with other users within the various leader boards.
